Junior Badminton at Phoenix Badminton Club
Welcome to the junior section of Phoenix Badminton Club. We are a fun, friendly,
and supportive club where young players can learn, improve, and enjoy our fantastic
sport!
Badminton is a great way for young people to stay active, make friends and develop
life skills such as teamwork, resilience, respect and fair play.
We welcome children of all abilities, from complete beginners picking up a racket for
the first time to more experienced young players looking to sharpen their skills.
Our junior sessions are designed to be engaging, enjoyable and sociable. Our
coaches focus on building strong fundamental badminton skills, while also
encouraging teamwork, confidence and most importantly, fun!
What We Offer at Phoenix
- Structured coaching sessions led by experienced Badminton England qualified
coaches at Level 1 or Level 2 - Skill development through drills and match play
- A safe and inclusive environment where every child is supported
- Opportunities to progress, including friendly matches, local competitions and club
events
Session Details
- Suitable for ages 6-18 years
- Venue: John of Gaunt School, Wingfield Road, Trowbridge, BA14 9EH
Winter club (runs from September to Easter)
- Younger players and beginners: Tuesdays 6pm-7pm
- Middle aged players and developing players: Tuesday 6pm-7.30pm
- Oldest and most experienced players: Fridays 7pm-9pm
- Cost is roughly £70-85 depending on which session and the number of weeks
in the term.
Summer club (runs after Easter to the end of the summer term in July)
- Younger players and beginners: Tuesdays 6pm-7pm
- Middle aged players and developing players: Tuesday 6pm-7.30pm
- Oldest and most experienced players: Tuesday 7.30pm-9pm
- Cost is roughly £25-35 depending on which session and the number of weeks
in the term.
Equipment
- Bring your own racket if you have one. We also have plenty you can
borrow. We provide all the shuttles.
